Pillars of Islam
The foundation of every Muslim’s faith and practice, these five pillars represent the core acts of worship and devotion in Islam.

Shahadah
(Faith)

This declaration of faith is the first and most essential pillar — a sincere belief in the oneness of Allah and the prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ.

Salah
(Prayer)

Muslims are required to pray five times a day at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset, and night. Salah strengthens the connection with Allah and serves as a reminder of our purpose in life.

Sawm
(Fasting)

Every year during the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset. This practice teaches discipline, gratitude, and compassion for those in need.

Zakat
(Almsgiving)

Zakat is an obligation for Muslims who are able — giving a portion (usually 2.5%) of their wealth to help the poor and needy. It purifies wealth and supports social equality.

Hajj
(Pilgrimage)

Once in a lifetime, every able Muslim must perform Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca. It is a profound spiritual journey that unites Muslims from all over the world in worship.
